Sam Parker attended the University of North Texas and received his degree in Education, specializing in history and English. He played tight end for the Mean Green during his time at UNT, and his coaching career began there as well; he coached quarterbacks for 3 years as a graduate assistant.
Parker’s background includes teaching and coaching football at Pfluggerville Hendrickson High School and Ennis High School. Between 2008-2010, Coach Parker was the Offensive Coordinator at John Tyler High School. He served as the Athletic Coordinator and Head Football Coach at Spring High School for 7 years. Throughout his career, Parker has led his teams to compete in various playoff seasons. This is Parker’s 3rd season as Athletic Coordinator and Head Football Coach at Tomball Memorial High School.
Coach Parker’s wife, Dara, is a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach in The Woodlands. Their daughter, Ellyn, is in 3rd grade.
